| I realize only a minority of you has 1994-6 cars; but hopefully there is someone out there that can help me. 3 yrs ago after replacing the battery (I have done this a number of times), the alarm sounded and the remote ceased to work. I finally decided to follow the troubleshooting procedure in the FSM. The first step is to verify the battery has 3 volts; it does. Then the manual says the remote is supposed to buzz when pressing the lock button. I the previous 16 yrs of ownership, time during which the remote worked, it never buzzed. Those of you that have cars with this system, does your remote buzz? Next is to check power and grd on the in-car control unit. I also have a used (hopefully good) one to test with. Any help will be appreciated. Clueless as to why the FSM says remote is supposed to buzz.
